Oil and Gas Industry

Within the Oil & Gas Industry, John M Henderson’s capabilities in design, fabrication, machining, fitting & assembly and control systems have enabled projects to be completed for the manufacture of a diverse range of subsea and offshore equipment.

These include ROV Deployment Systems, Umbilical Winches, complete Blowout Preventor unitisation, BOP and Pipe Handling equipment, Subsea Distribution Systems and Conductor Centralisers.

Facilities

The site in Arbroath, Scotland covers an area of 24.000 m² with the two main factory workshops totalling over 7500 m². The modern purpose-built factory has the following facilities for developing Oil and Gas projects:

• Machine shop facilities including CNC horizontal boring
• Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Electrical installation and test facilities
• Overhead cranes up to 40 tonnes with 15 m lift
• Coded Welding (ASME IX BS-EN 288)
• Stress Relieving Furnace (3.7m x 3m x 6.5m)
• Pressure Testing to maximum 25,000 psi.
• In-house Design (3D Autocad Inventor, 2D Autocad, Ansys FEA and Mechanical Desktop)
• Fitting and Assembly workshop (22m x 44m x 15m)
• Deep Water Inspection Pit (9m x 4.5m x 3.6m deep)
• Shot Blasting Plant (8m x 5m x 5m)
• Spray Painting
