JMH Wins Contract for ArcelorMittal Zenica
John M Henderson to assist ArcelorMittal Zenica commission the JMH Smokeless Charging Car supplied to the plant in 2014.
Over the past three years, ArcelorMittal Zenica have implemented a number of large environmental projects, with a total investment of more than US$14.5m, aimed at reducing the emission of solid particles from the blast furnace, sinter plant and coke plant, decreasing the impact on the surrounding community and creating better working conditions for their employees.
As part of the environmental package, John M Henderson were awarded a contract for the design, manufacture and complete supply of a new Smokeless Charging Car, with the scope of eliminating the harmful coal charging emissions and coal spillage incidents.
Having previously supplied the car, John M Henderson was invited by ArcelorMittal Zenica to come on site and commission the car. The JMH Smokeless Charging Car is expected to complete the hot commissioning and enter operation in October 2016.
